Software Engineer, Personal Injury Value Chain Expert

Job DescriptionThis role requires an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in the development of cutting-edge AI-powered solutions for the personal injury value chain.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with our founders, product managers, and designers to brainstorm, scope, and implement new features that maximize case outcomes.
You will be responsible for establishing best practices for architecture, coding, and delivery while ensuring secure, compliant code for sensitive data.
This is a hybrid role that involves collaborating with the team in the office (2-3 days per week) and working remotely. We are open to applicants located in either the Greater Toronto Area or the San Francisco Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to end-to-end AI workflows by integrating traditional SaaS with AI applications, balancing innovation with pragmatism.
- Craft and deliver high-quality software solutions, including production-ready code, RESTful APIs, and managing infrastructure to industry standards.
- Mentor team members by providing feedback on code and design, contributing to team culture, retrospectives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Handle on-call responsibilities to resolve issues and reduce toil, documenting processes to ensure alignment with company and industry standards.
- Extensive experience in building frameworks, libraries, and distributed systems with an eye for reliability, observability, and performance.
- Proficiency with modern frontend technologies, particularly TypeScript, React, JavaScript, CSS, and the DOM, with 3+ years of frontend development experience.
- Able to craft and deliver high-quality software solutions, including production-ready code, RESTful APIs, and managing infrastructure to industry standards.
- Track record of successfully delivering complex projects with clear, structured thinking and leadership from concept to deployment.
- Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, such as startups, thriving in collaborative, growth-oriented settings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams from diverse backgrounds.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
