ROLE OVERVIEW

The Newly Institute is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing initial assessments, medication optimization, and treatment recommendations to our diverse referral sources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Prescribe and manage medications as needed
  • Participate in routine case rounds and provide follow-up care
  • Facilitate reflection and integration with clients taking part in ketamine treatment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) medical degree
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry
  • Eligibility for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
