Job Description:

The City of Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Transformation Lead to join our team in the Finance, Risk & Supply Chain Management department. This is a temporary full-time position that offers a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to drive business transformation initiatives within Financial Services.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business transformation plans to improve financial processes and systems
  • Lead cross-functional teams in project management and process improvement initiatives
  • Analyze complex data to identify opportunities for optimization and make recommendations for changes in processes and systems
  • Partner with relevant departments to deliver successful solutions to meet corporate wide strategies and requirements
  • Provide leadership in problem-solving efforts on key projects to achieve operational goals and objectives
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and implementation of change


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Public Administration, Public Policy, or Economics
  • Extensive experience in process documentation, business process reviews, and re-engineering techniques
  • SAP S4/HANA Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in Financial Accounting and Controlling (FI/CO)
  • Project management methodologies training or experience consistent with PMI standards
  • Detailed knowledge of business practices in public sector or large private organizations
  • High degree of analysis using professional thinking
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications


About the Opportunity:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $97,032 to $121,294 per year, paid bi-weekly. Additional Information:

Please note that this is a temporary full-time position with an estimated end date of May 2026. The City of Vancouver offers a flexible work program, which allows staff to work remotely up to 4 days a week from locations that are a daily commuteable distance from their worksite.
