RS Breakers and Controls is a leading supplier of electrical equipment and we are seeking experienced technicians to join our team in our climate-controlled Breaker Shop.

We are looking for individuals who possess good mechanical skills and understand fundamental electrical testing procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot and repair low and medium voltage air circuit breakers, as well as refurbish and upgrade breakers as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling breakers to their smallest components, performing inspections for wear and damage, and reassembling all breaker component parts, along with any required wiring and upgrades kits.

Additionally, the technician will assist in the final step of testing each breaker to industry standards utilizing the appropriate test equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on low and medium voltage circuit breakers
  • Troubleshoot and repair low and medium voltage air circuit breakers
  • Refurbish and upgrade breakers as required
  • Disassemble breakers to their smallest components
  • Perform inspections for wear and damage
  • Reassemble all breaker component parts
  • Assist in testing each breaker to industry standards
  • Assist in the warehouse, shelving inventory and moving parts to designated locations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma; prefer training from trade school, apprenticeship or related experience
  • Good mechanical skills and understanding of fundamental electrical testing procedures
  • Ability to evaluate the operating condition of equipment
  • Safe and solid troubleshooting skills using basic and advanced test equipment, schematics and wiring diagrams
