Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at NS SONS 1 HOLDINGS INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our food service staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, with a strong focus on meeting work schedules, controlling labor costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

You will be responsible for establishing effective methods to manage work schedules, supervising staff, and training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. Additionally, you will estimate ingredient and supply requirements, prepare budgets and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish effective methods to meet work schedules
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Hire food service staff
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

This is a full-time position requiring 30-40 hours of work per week. You will work in a noisy and hot environment, but we offer a competitive salary and benefits package to compensate for the demands of the role.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience. We also offer additional benefits, including a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
