Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for framing and carpentry projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to create precise and durable structures.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and professional finish.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in framing and carpentry.
  • Permanent employment with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English.
Work Environment:

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work under tight deadlines. The work environment is physically demanding, and the successful candidate must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
