About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer or Technologist to join our Automation & Digitalization division in Prince George, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions that improve plant productivity, reliability, and sustainability for our North American customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades.
  • Complete electrical control and instrumentation system design, including P&ID drawings, control system architecture, and instrumentation systems.
  • Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or technology diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in industrial automation engineering; preferably in Pulp & Paper.
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) with EGBC or ASTTBC.
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal-driven, with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting engineering experience.
  • Pulp & Paper industrial operations experience.
  • Commissioning, construction, and start-up experience.
