Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated occupational therapist to join our team at Community Therapists. As a driver rehabilitation occupational therapist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals with physical, mental health, or brain injuries regain their driving abilities and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify individuals' driving-related limitations and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, vehicle modification vendors, and payer representatives to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement driver rehabilitation programs, including functional driving evaluations and vehicle modification evaluations.
- Provide education and support to individuals and their families to promote independence and mobility.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience addressing driving-related limitations with clients as part of an overall caseload.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals who have physical, mental health, or brain injuries, or any combination thereof.
- Experience working with agency payers is a strong asset.
- Commitment to continuous learning through professional development courses.
