Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for restoring and refinishing furniture to its original glory, working closely with our team to ensure high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Discuss upholstery fabric, colour and style with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Furniture Restoration: Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts to ensure durability and quality.
- Ornamental Trim and Embellishments: Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons to add a touch of elegance to our restored furniture.
- Furniture Repair: Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore their original beauty.
- Custom Designs: Create custom designs for clients to meet their unique needs and preferences.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in furniture restoration or a related field.
- Work Environment: Dusty work environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours, combination of sitting, standing, walking, sitting, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
