About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawn Maintenance Lead Hand to join our team at Oakridge Landscape Contractors. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality landscape maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily management of maintenance projects, including the supervision of crew members and the coordination of equipment and resources.
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment is properly maintained, stored, and transported to and from job sites.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and job sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge in areas such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weed removal.
  • Collaborate with the Foreperson and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of tasks and projects.
  • Manage daily labor force, equipment usage, and materials to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and support.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Lead Hand in the landscape maintenance industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver abstract.
  • Ability to drive a truck and trailer, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Pesticide license an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weed removal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality delivery.
