About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Jerome Facility Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance activities of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify and recommend additional services required to maintain our facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Assist Cleaners: Assist cleaning staff in performing their duties and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure that cleaning and maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
Supervision
  • Team Size: Supervise a team of 5-10 cleaning staff.
  • Team Members: Supervise janitors, caretakers, building superintendents, light duty cleaners, specialized cleaners, and working groups.
Requirements
  • Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work.
  • Legal Ability to Work: Be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Relocation: Be willing to relocate for this position.
  • Residency: Currently reside in proximity to the advertised location.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in the field of cleaning and maintenance.
  • Education: Have completed a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education.
