We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Research Winter Analyst to join our Capital Markets team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing research support to our analysts and associates, updating sector-specific databases, analyzing financial statements, and assisting with drafting research notes and marketing presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide research support to analysts and associates, including data analysis and market research
- Update sector-specific databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
- Analyze financial statements and company-specific information to identify trends and insights
- Assist with drafting research notes and marketing presentations to communicate findings to clients
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field at a university or college
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data points into trends
- Excellent PC skills, specifically Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, commitment to task, and attention to detail
- Ability to commit to over and above regular work hours and meet time-sensitive deadlines as required
- Ability to work and coordinate effectively within a team environment
- Proven capacity to learn quickly
- Demonstrated passion for stock and financial markets
