Nursing Professional

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values of Island Health, patient safety is a top priority. As a Staff Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides professional nursing care to clients.
Within the framework of hospital and nursing department philosophy, mission, and standards, you will utilize the nursing process to coordinate and administer direct client care. This includes providing direction to auxiliary personnel and staff, responding to emergency situations, and safeguarding clients, visitors, and staff.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have:
- A registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Basic Life Support, Level C, post-basic education for clinical areas, and up to one year of recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Specialty certification for units such as Operating Room, Post Anesthetic Recovery, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry, with up to two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
We offer a competitive salary range estimated at $85,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience.
