Job Title: Coatings Technician

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Technician to join our team at Ideal Coatings & Fabrication Ltd. As a Coatings Technician, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various metal products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Check the thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers, or other devices.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Apply coatings to small items and touch-ups using paint brushes.
  • Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications.
  • Select the appropriate paint or mix paints for specific applications.
  • Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for coating.
  • Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat items.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
