As a key team member at Cook Nook Inc, the Bakery Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough, batters, and icings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to the highest standard.
  • Train junior staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders to meet customer demands.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to perfection.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to avoid stockouts.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week with the option to work in English or French.
