Job Summary:

The Durham Catholic District School Board is committed to providing a high-quality education to our students. As a LTO Grade 6 Teacher, you will play a key role in helping our students reach their full potential. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Grade 6 students in a variety of subjects, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Junior Basic Qualifications
  • Experience working with students in a Grade 6 classroom setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
