About the Role

The Glass Operations Mechanic will report directly to the Glass Operations Supervisor and is responsible for performing various maintenance and production tasks to assist with glass operations.

This includes performing significant maintenance repairs and upgrades in the Glass Plant.

The successful candidate will operate glass cleaning equipment and plant legacy equipment as required.

They will package 1000 kg bulk bags of products via bulk bag loading systems in the Glass area.

The ideal candidate will monitor quality and record general production information when required.

They will work in compliance with company safety, environmental, and operating procedures.

Responsibilities include cleaning the plant and work area as required, operating a forklift and scissor lift, and working at heights using fall protection.

Additionally, they must know how to safely operate all equipment used in the glass production area.
