About the Role

CS Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Hardware Software Integration Tester to join its team of Software Engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of real-time operating systems and low-level software, with experience in embedded system development, testing, design, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute HW/SW Integration Test campaigns on target hardware for Automotive projects (ISO 26262 – ASIL B).
  • Create and optimize automated test cases with continuous improvements in coverage and efficiency.
  • Provide solid traceability from software requirements to test specifications to test cases to test results.
  • Analyze test results, debug observed issues, generate defect reports, verify fixed issues, and update pre-existing defect reports.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2-6 years' experience in embedded system development, testing, design, and engineering.
  • Embedded C language proficiency required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python and Linux shell scripting required.
  • Knowledge of formal test theory, test methodology, and test experience, with embedded testing being a strong asset.
  • Ability to enable automation for manual tests and automate test result processing.
  • Good communication, team-player, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
