Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Lunch Monitor to join our team at Bel Ayr Elementary. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lunchtime, maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a smooth transition between classes.
  • Provide support to students with special needs, as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong supervisory skills, with experience working with children.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, communicating effectively with staff and students.
  • Capable of organizing and controlling large numbers of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Assets:

  • Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Certification is considered an asset.

Rate of Pay & Hours of Work:

  • $15.45 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay, with a time requirement of approximately 1 hour per day from 11:50AM to 12:50PM.
