We are seeking a dedicated and caring Childcare Assistant to join our team at Learning for life Childcare Ltd. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our childcare centre, ensuring the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Training and Support:
  • Will train in our centre.

  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities.
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.

  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
