Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Support residents with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Personal Care Worker, Continuing Care Assistant, or Home Health Provider
  • Nursing experience in a long-term care facility
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work shift work, including days, evenings, and nights
  • Alzheimer and Other Related Dementia Provincial Certificate required
