Bedard - Ressources humaines | Human Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mines Inspector - Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that mining operations comply with strict health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with various stakeholders to provide guidance and resources, ensuring seamless communication and effective collaboration.
• Conduct design reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of mine designs to assess ground stability, waste dump and surface impoundment stability, mechanical equipment design, and mobile equipment system designs.
• Inspect surface and underground mines: Conduct regular inspections of surface and underground mines to ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Acts and Regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license: Possess a valid class 5 driver's license to ensure unrestricted mobility and access to diverse work sites.
• Regulatory expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as the Explosive Use Act and Regulations.
• Safety management systems: Showcase expertise in safety management systems, audits, and inspections, with a deep understanding of workplace inspections, OH&S committees, personal protective equipment, and emergency protocols.

What We Offer:

• Attractive salary range: $118,000 - $125,000 per year, based on experience, plus an annual Northern Living Allowance of $2,100.
• Day shift schedule: Enjoy a 37.5 hour workweek, with a regular day shift schedule.
