Strategic Role: Practice Lead, Estate and Trust Consultant

The successful candidate will serve as a key leader in our team, responsible for driving business development and client onboarding across their region. They will provide guidance, coaching, and sales management support to the ETC team, ensuring they achieve strong business results and deliver exceptional service to partners and clients.

This role involves:

  1. Leading the ETC team in the region by recruiting, onboarding, and developing members, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to succeed;
  • Delivering ongoing coaching and sales management to support ETCs' ability to drive business results and support business partners;
  • Ensuring ETCs leverage available tools and resources, follow policies and procedures, and implement solutions that are effective;
  • Coordinating with the Regional Admin Lead to ensure adequate support is provided to ETCs by RETAs;
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for new business approvals and exceptions to pricing and other policies;
  • Providing guidance and technical support in delivering estate planning expertise and developing recommendations.
Contributing to the development and execution of regional strategic and annual business plans by determining new business goals and driving efforts to achieve objectives;
  • Leading ETCs through an annual business planning exercise to set targeted activities and maximize results;
  • Partnering with other ETC Practice Leads to share best practices and coordinate national campaign delivery;
  • Ensuring proactive contact with Will Bank clients and addressing estate planning needs;
  • Coordinating with the Regional Director and Market Leads to build the annual profit plan, including projected expenses.

Key qualifications include 5 years of industry experience, STI, MTI or TEP designation/diploma, law degree or Canadian law society membership, and in-depth experience dealing with HNW clients and advisors.

The salary range for this position is estimated at $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on location and experience. Scotiabank offers a comprehensive compensation package, including benefits, retirement savings, and career development opportunities.
