Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Mike's Insulation Ltd. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of $55,000 per year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various construction activities, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and tending to machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials;
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades;
  • Assist in demolishing buildings;
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites;
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction;
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs;
  • Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers;
  • Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools;
  • Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods;
  • Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work environment;
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labour;
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools;
  • Basic security clearance;
  • Team player with efficient interpersonal skills and flexibility;
  • Experience an asset but not required.
