Nurse Position in Residential Care

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to residents in our residential care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing assessments and interventions to residents with chronic diseases, including stroke, chest pain, pneumonia, and other conditions.
- Develop and implement care plans that prioritize resident-centered care and promote quality of life.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Act as a resource for the team, providing information and support to ensure resident-centered care.
- Participate in education and training opportunities to maintain and advance clinical competence.
Sechelt Hospital is a 46-bed acute care facility serving over 30,000 residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast. Our hospital provides a range of services, including emergency care, renal program, mental health and substance use services, surgical services, and imaging services.
Qualifications- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of an approved gerontology course or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
