Job Summary:

BlackBerry QNX is seeking a talented Embedded Software Developer to join our Advanced Technology Development team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for executing on development plans and strategies related to key technology trends, participating in architecture and strategy sessions with technology partners, and providing design input into future products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems, including design, development, and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop integration strategies for internal and external infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies for the entire software lifecycle, including develop, test, deploy, and update.
  • Implement appropriate security models and strategies to ensure the integrity and reliability of software solutions.
  • Design and develop software components, including drivers, firmware, and applications, for various embedded systems.
  • Work with multiple hardware variants, including configuration and bring-up.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including design documentation and other artifacts.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in embedded software development.
  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong C/C++ skills and experience developing for multiple OS architectures, including Linux and QNX.
  • Experience with embedded development and/or cross-platform development.
  • Strong analytical and software debugging skills.
  • Effective communication skills and an open mind with a collaborative nature.
