Job Summary

The Senior Mechanical Services Engineer will serve as a lead or area lead position for the Mechanical Services group. Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and planning jobs, preparing and maintaining schedules, developing and monitoring effort hour estimates and manpower forecasts.
  • Attending internal and external meetings, assigning work, working with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities.
  • Assisting in audits and developing department standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Services Engineer, you'll have the following key responsibilities:

  • Developing project design criteria based on applicable codes and client standards.
  • Preparing and checking design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings to ensure all relevant project and regulatory requirements are addressed.
  • Preparing HVAC package quotation requests and purchase orders, conducting technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor drawings.
  • Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for HVAC space reservations, structural support needs, power requirements, and tie-ins.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of work-related experience, with a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field.
  • Strong technical skills in HVAC, with the ability to analyze fire hazards and define applicable fire protection systems to satisfy regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
