Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Blowers & Grafton (Shawnessy) Inc. as a key member of our dining room staff.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
- Portion and wrap foods for serving.
- Package take-out food for customers.
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Inventory and Supply Management
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
- Customer Service
- Take customers' orders.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Teamwork and Communication
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
- Perform repetitive tasks and work under pressure.
- Will train.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and reliability are essential.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
