About the Role

Lakeside Health is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will work with clients to administer massage techniques, provide education on procedures and risks, and maintain accurate records of treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations.
  • Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with their treatment plan.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments given, including client information and treatment details.
  • Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body, using a range of techniques to promote relaxation and relief.
  • Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques to clients, empowering them to take an active role in their health and wellness.
Requirements
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain procedures and risks to clients.
  • Interpersonal awareness and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
