Compensation

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $19.95 per hour, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment where you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking food to high standards. As a Culinary Specialist, you will work closely with the kitchen team to process orders and ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Work effectively in a team environment to meet demanding production targets
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar cook position or equivalent culinary experience
  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or comparable education preferred
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 Certificate (BC)
  • Experience with various knife-cutting techniques and knowledge of food safety preparation
  • Able to lift items weighing similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods
