Dynamic Leadership Opportunity in Trauma-Informed Support Services

Luke's Place Support & Resource Centre for Women & Children is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to spearhead our organization's vision and mission. As a forward-thinking leader, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, championing key programs, and ensuring seamless operational execution.

Position Overview
The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future, working closely with the Board and management team to develop and implement strategic priorities. This individual will ensure the sustainability of Luke's Place, while maintaining our core values of intersectional feminism and equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance:
- Collaborate actively with the Board and its committees to drive organizational growth.
- Contribute significantly to strategic planning, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
- Develop and implement effective operational policies, promoting efficiency and excellence.
- Community Relations and Media:
- Represent the organization as a spokesperson, effectively communicating our message to the media and public.
- Engage with relevant committees, networks, conferences, and events to promote our cause.
- Human Resources:
- Develop and implement human resource policies, fostering a positive work environment.
- Supervise and mentor the leadership team, promoting staff development and well-being.
- Support a diverse team of 20+ staff members, prioritizing their needs and concerns.
- Program Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation:
- Ensure our services are delivered within a framework of intersectional feminism, trauma-informed practice, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Guide the development and implementation of operational plans, aligning with the Board's strategic objectives and monitoring effectiveness.
- Financial Oversight:
- Exercise sound fiscal management, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive fund development strategy.
Requirements:
To succeed in this dynamic role, you will require:
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in senior management or leadership positions, preferably in a non-profit organization with a similar mission.
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as women's studies, human services, social work, law, or non-profit management.
- Proven expertise in program development, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on trauma-informed and feminist practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, including Employment Standards, Human Rights Legislation, and funding requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Benefits:
Luke's Place offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- A salary range of $120,000 - $135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- A health spending account of $1,500 and 12 paid health leave days.
- 4 weeks of vacation, a paid birthday off, and paid office closure during December holidays.
- Hybrid work arrangements, with a considerable on-site requirement.
