Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring prompt attention to customer needs.
  • Diagnosing and completing less complex repairs using specialized tools and documented procedures.
  • Performing preventative maintenance activities on engine and related components in the field.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians and/or supervisor.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets and timesheets.
  • Identifying additional service opportunities with customers.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintaining service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

310T/421A Red Seal Endorsement

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Customer service experience

Nat Gas/EV Training and asset (TSSA Certified)

High Horsepower 19L and above will be given preference

Experience with Transit/Automotive, On-highway, Agricultural, Marine, and Industrial
