Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing External Financial Advisory (EFA) team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide a range of services to small and mid-sized companies, including bookkeeping and fractional CFO services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients with financial advisory services involving the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of financial data, key performance indicators, and metrics.
  • Conduct business analysis and identify improvements of current state: accounting processes and procedures, reporting, data quality, system tools, asset training, and internal controls.
  • Develop financial models for various applications, such as cash flow forecasting, budgeting, raising capital, and valuations.
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients by working with various accounting and administrative personnel to support the delivery of advisory services.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services and clientele through experiential learning with clients.
  • Network and support the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or intending to pursue a CPA designation.
  • Completion of a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • Experience with financial statement modeling is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software (such as QuickBooks and Xero) is considered an asset.
  • Travel may be required.
