Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Household Management: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Laundry and Ironing: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens.
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home, staff accommodation available, urban area.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
Personal Qualities:
  • Client Focus: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and excellent oral communication skills.
  • Dependability: Reliable, organized, and efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
