We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Administrator to join our team at Merge IT. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our enterprise-level client's Linux infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and troubleshoot Linux systems, including Autosys, Gemfire, and Redis.
- Provide Level 3 production support, including incident management, request fulfillment, problem management, and change management.
- Improve operational processes and automation by identifying, analyzing, and improving existing processes and tools.
- Work in a global environment with a team that provides 24/7 support.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and execute changes.
- 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Experience with Linux scripting and orchestration tools, such as Perl, Python, Ansible, and GitOps.
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools, modern observability concepts, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to write documentation and make presentations.
- Public and private cloud experience.
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes and Openshift.
- Experience with work management tools, such as Jira and ServiceNow.
