About the Role

This Communications Call Centre Attendant role is critical to our organization's success, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct communications interface to physicians, clinics, patients, and emergency response teams
  • Receive internal emergency calls and coordinate responses
  • Manage on-call duty sheets and coordinate communications with on-call staff
  • Operate telecommunications equipment, including pagers and cell phones

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Grade XII and one year of related experience
  • Accreditation or willingness to commit to a three-month training period and pass required test
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Relevant knowledge in the operation of telecommunications equipment
  • Previous experience in healthcare or emergency services is an asset
