About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team at Simon Transportation Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications to ensure high-quality results
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Determine weldability of materials to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding or a related field
  • Ability to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work at heights
