Job Overview


As a Financial Services Analyst at Jobgenix, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services to our clients. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join our team.



About the Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in accounting, auditing, asset depreciation, tax knowledge, and bookkeeping. You will work closely with our administrative assistant team to ensure seamless client onboarding and documentation processing.



Your Key Responsibilities



  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients on financial matters, including preparation of files, financial statements, and draft tax returns.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their service needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting trends and legislation to ensure we are always compliant and ahead of the curve.
  • Manage concurrent assignments and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Enter daily timesheets and expenses accurately and timely in CCH.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and maintain regular communication with colleagues on client engagement status.


Your Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or working towards it, with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, auditing, asset depreciation, tax knowledge, and bookkeeping.
  • Experience with CaseWare and CCH (Tax Prep) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise tact and discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension skills, with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with analytical skills for analyzing financial statements and preparing files.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
