Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Fills joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure stability and safety.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in various locations, requiring the ability to adapt to different settings and environments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
