Arborist Labourer

Job Summary:

An Arborist Labourer is responsible for assisting the crew with site maintenance and clean-up, as well as operating and maintaining maintenance equipment. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Committed to working safely and supporting a positive and productive team environment.
• Capable of performing physically demanding manual labour in all weather conditions.
• Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, and/or feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Performs site set-up and take-down, including unloading and loading equipment, setting up barriers/warning flags, and keeping the site picked up and orderly.
• Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or higher.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record, air brakes endorsement a plus.
• Ability to work as a crew member in a physically demanding environment.
• Motivated to work both independently and as a team member, with good time management.
• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Working around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, woodchipper, and must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays, weekends, and storm work, and will be subject to call-out work.
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR certificates.
