Senior Quality Assurance Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Consultant to join our Enterprise Technology team at CIBC. As a Quality Assurance Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases, designing and managing end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business, and providing clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.

- Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business.
- Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
- Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship.
- Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
- Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project's timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business.
- Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project's timeline, budget, and goals.
- Strong knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL, Azure, and basics of UNIX shell scripting & Python, Scala, Java, Azure DevOps, etc.
- 6+ years of experience in Application/Software design, engineering, testing, and development with a solid understanding of design patterns and principles.
- 2 or more years of testing cloud experience preferably on Azure, AWS, GCP, or others.
- Previous experience with Apache Spark development, Scala programming language, functional programming concepts, and data streaming.
- Strong knowledge of data-centric applications, Data Warehousing, Data Marts, and traditional Extract, Transform, & Load (ETL) systems and tools.
- Experience with git and modern branching/merging strategies and development methodologies, including DevOps, CI/CD, automated unit testing, static code analysis, Sonar Cube, with passion for quality and automation.
