About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Listowel Physiotherapy & Health Care Centre. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients in achieving their optimal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Administer tests using specialized equipment to assess patients' hearing and auditory abilities
    • Develop and implement treatment plans to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities
    • Monitor and record patient progress, making adjustments as needed
  • Patient Care and Support
    • Provide education and guidance to patients on test procedures and rehabilitation techniques
    • Document patient rehabilitation progress and maintain accurate records
    • Process files and paperwork related to patient care
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Licensure by a provincial/territorial regulatory body for Hearing Instrument Practitioner
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field
  • 37.5 hours per week, permanent position
  • English language proficiency
