Job Title: Apprentice Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp.

Job Summary:

The Apprentice Carpenter will assist experienced carpenters in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in carpentry skills and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the construction and renovation of buildings, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and ensure compliance with building codes
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials made of wood and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices and assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
Work Environment:

The Apprentice Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to heights, confined spaces, noise, dust, and outdoors. The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to work in a team environment.
