About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Technologist to join our team as a Project Coordinator in the field of Municipal Engineering and Transportation Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external project team members and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Provide design and construction services for various project types across Vancouver Island.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to facilitate project requirements.
  • Prepare engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates for municipal engineering projects.
  • Develop concepts and designs using Civil 3D, CAD, and other computer-aided drafting programs.
  • Produce design calculations and analysis for storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems.
  • Assist in preparing engineering and construction tender documents and contracts.
  • Inspect construction of municipal engineering projects.
  • Provide input into project budgeting and scheduling.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design Technology with registration (or eligible for registration) with AScT or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC.
  • 3+ years' experience in municipal or transportation engineering related fields.
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of the design process.
  • Transportation and/or Municipal engineering design experience.
  • Experience with MMCD.
  • Experience in large and small-scale projects.
