Empowering Communities through Financial Literacy Specialist

About the Role
E4C is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Financial Empowerment Program Coordinator – Financial Empowerment to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Empowerment program, you will play a critical role in empowering low-income individuals and families to achieve financial stability.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for community development and financial education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group facilitation, individual coaching, and program development. Key Responsibilities
- Program Delivery:
- Schedule and deliver financial education workshops and presentations to diverse populations at various locations;
- Collaborate with the Financial Empowerment team to develop and implement comprehensive financial education programs;
- Facilitate financial empowerment training to e4c and other agency staff;
- Oversee delivery of programming to align with e4c's strategic vision.
- Administration:
- Administer surveys and evaluation tools, collect results, and generate reports;
- Prepare internal and external reports;
- Create, modify, and adapt materials needed for tax and benefit programs, financial education training, workshops, and presentations.
- Important Work You Will Do at E4C:
- Create programming aimed at ending poverty through financial empowerment;
- Help connect individuals with different tools to build the life they want;
- Deliver financial literacy training that builds capacity and empowers others;
- Be a champion for e4c's programs within the Edmonton nonprofit community;
- Support volunteers and student placements working at different sites in Edmonton;
- Participate in local and national communities of practice working to end poverty.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Business, Human Services, Education, Human Ecology, Communications, or Political Science;
- 2+ years' experience working in a related field and/or a combination of education and work experience;
- Experience with group facilitation and individual coaching;
- Knowledge of community development and program development;
- A basic understanding of financial concepts;
- General knowledge of government social support systems;
- Familiarity with indigenous culture, history, and social barriers;
- Experience with data collection and program evaluation;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team setting;
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, Excel, PowerPoint, and other technology tools.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a robust benefits package, RRSP matching after one-year full-time employment, 3 weeks paid vacation, paid sick time, employee family assistance program (EFAP), and professional development opportunities.
