Job Title: Instrumentation Mechanic

ERCO Worldwide is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Mechanic to join our Maintenance Union team at our Saskatoon plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining instrumentation systems, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and field process measurement devices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative instrument upkeep, including calibrations and certifications on field and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Conduct instrument troubleshooting and repairs on equipment as assigned.
  • Specify, install, and calibrate new instrumentation included in plant modification projects.
  • Conduct safety interlock checks on a prescribed frequency and identify new instrument opportunities for improved process control.
  • Manage relevant Work Orders in the CMMS in support of PM compliance and update maintenance files, drawings, documentation, and order repair materials.
  • Procure and maintain critical instrumentation spares within a Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.
Requirements:
  • Red Seal Journeyman Trade Certification.
  • 3-5 years of instrumentation experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with IEEE standards (asset).
  • Ability to read ladder, logic, loop diagrams, and other electrical fabrication drawings.
  • Background in heavy industry or the Chemical Process Industries (asset).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills to work in a self-directed work group.
  • Work experience demonstrating reliability as a team member.
  • Must pass pre-hire physical and drug screen.
