About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning and Janitorial Assistant to join our team at C & H Cleaning and Janitorial LTD. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to a high standard.
  • Dusting and Vacuuming: Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Elevator Maintenance: Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items in a timely manner.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as required.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to a high standard.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • We offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to support their integration into the workforce.
Support for Youths
  • We provide on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop their skills and gain work experience.
Support for Indigenous People
  • We provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Work Details: Permanent position, 40 hours per week, English language required.
