About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facility Assistant III to join our team at Parrish and Heimbecker. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our facility, achieving production targets, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grain Handling and Storage: Assist in the movement of grain by loading and unloading shipments, and ensure that all grain is properly stored and maintained.
  • Operations Support: Provide support to the Operations Manager in mentoring and educating Facility Assistants in grading, inventory management, and safety practices.
  • Grading and Quality Control: Exercise competency in grading canola, wheat, oats, and barley, and ensure that all grain meets our high quality standards.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform regular facility maintenance and housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in the operation of a grain elevator, with experience as a team lead or supervisor.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Through knowledge and understanding of the grain industry, including grading factors and elevator equipment, as well as training in Health and Safety procedures.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in agriculture or business is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in an environment subject to dust and allergens, and to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs).
