Job Summary
Strike Group is seeking a skilled Apprentice Pipefitter to join our team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial pipe systems. As an Apprentice Pipefitter, you will work under the guidance of experienced journeypersons to develop your skills and knowledge in pipefitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site
- Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages
- Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
- Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
- Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems
Requirements
- Must be a registered Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors
Working Conditions
As an Apprentice Pipefitter, you will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, often outdoors, and may be required to work at heights or in confined spaces. You will be expected to follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
