Job Opportunity:
McMaster University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Surgeon to join our team in the Department of Surgery. As a key member of our Plastic Surgery Division, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the academic and research mission of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality surgical care to patients with a range of plastic surgery needs, including oncologic reconstruction, microsurgery, and breast reconstruction.
- Participate in teaching and education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to the development of educational programs.
- Engage in research and scholarly activities, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of plastic surgery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and academic programs, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for certification in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association membership in good standing.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to excellence in patient care and education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and contribute to the advancement of the department's academic and research mission.
